A grant is an amount of funds provided by a government or private entity to organizations or individuals seeking help with things such as innovative research and community improvement.
A grant is provided to those requestors who meet certain qualifications and whose proposals ensure the program will be successful. Recipients are required to report progress towards the successful implementation of the program as outlined in the proposal. A gift is given to a recipient with no expectations of reporting.
There are many ways to find grant opportunities. A good way to start is with the Grants.gov website (). You can also use Google search for specific funding opportunities for your particular situation.
Contact the GSR Director or the Grants and Contracts Administrator and they will help you through the entire process.
